Executive Advisor 

Chongho Kim

Chongho Kim is an infrastructure development and asset management specialist based in Seoul, Korea. Before joining IPMAMC as the Executive Advisor, he worked as a managing director and worked his way up to become the representative director of Macquarie Capital Korea. Chongho worked at Macquarie for 17 years and has 35 years of project development and asset management experience working on major infrastructure projects in Korea, Australia, the UK, and Asia. His specialty in ESG-oriented investments stems from his experience with Macquarie-invested entities, including development projects in numerous public and private infrastructure industries (2004-2016), bio-renewables industry (2016-2018), and renewable energy industry (2017-2021) at various stages of deal development leading to the asset management, including bidding, acquisition, refinancing and sales. In recent years, he mainly focused on new development for renewable energy projects (solar, ESS, wind, and hydrogen economy) and digital infrastructure projects (data centers) in Korea

ESG Executive Advisor 

Seunghoon Lee

Seunghoon started his career at the Hyosung Heavy Industry plant division, where he provided EPCC services for the environmental plant as a mechanical engineer in 1992. He then worked for Hyosung Ebara Environmental Engineering, a joint venture established between Hyosung Corp. and Ebara, Japan. While at Hyosung EBARA, Seunghoon developed, funded, and implemented Hyosung-Ebara's Southeast Asian and the Middle East business as the head of a Malaysian branch office and corporation (SDN BHD) and worked as the team leader of the overseas sales team and the head of the resource recycling division of HQ.

Afterward, he worked as an executive director and took charge of waste recycling and renewable energy at Daebo E&C, then joined Macquarie Capital Korea as the managing director and managed investment in waste and renewable energy.

Jurae Kang

Jurae has spent over fifteen years at investment banks, private equity firms, and other investment companies working across the infrastructure and alternative investment space.
Prior to founding IPM Asset Management, Jurae was in charge of the Project Finance Planning Team at Samsung C&T, where he was responsible for project financing and procurement of the company's overseas infrastructure projects and sales. Jurae executed the €600 million Turkey Hospital PPP Project by inviting Korean financial investors and involving MIGA, EIB, EBRD, and Korean-ECAs and the disposal of Samsung C&T's stakes in the 433 MW Mexico Norte II CCGT power plant and Samsung C&T's investment in the Victorian Desalination Plant (TIC of A$4.95 billion) to financial investors. Jurae also was responsible for structuring various financing tranches, including project bonds, MDB-covered loans, and Korean FI investments in greenfield infrastructure projects developed by Samsung C&T across the Americas, CIS, MENA, East Asia, and Africa. Before working at a Hong Kong-based private equity firm responsible for alternative investments, Jurae worked for Macquarie Securities in Seoul. At Macquarie, Jurae was responsible for Project Finance for infrastructure and real estate development projects including the restructuring of the 200MW Suwan Energy district power plant and the Daesan Combined Cycle Power Plant. Jurae also successfully led the complex U$500 million real estate development project located in the CBD of Seoul from development to the disposal of the asset. Jurae began his career at PWC's M&A advisory team in Seoul.
Jurae studied at Seoul National University with a bachelor's degree in Mathematical Statistics and a master's degree in Financial Management. Jurae is a member of the Korean Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a Certified Investment Manager in Korea.

Sangyun Hwang

Sangyun has more than 20 years of experience in real estate investment and management. He has experience as head of the investment management division of Kalon Investment, the investment management division of Korea Asset Investment & Securities, hedge funds, and real estate management team leader of IBK(Industrial Bank of Korea) Asset Management.  After joining IPM in 2022, Sangyun has since taken charge of executive management, including office building development, housing development, golf course development, and sales strategy, as the head of IPMAM's Real Estate Division.

 Sangyun's main achievements include:
- Development and operation of the West Gate Tower in Migeun-dong (about $110 million)
- Development and operation of the Myeong-dong L7 Hotel (about $80 million)
- Operation of the Jeju Coupang Logistics Center fund ($40 million)

Sangyun holds a bachelor's degree in the department of urban planning and real estate from Chung-Ang University and completed a master's degree in real estate at Hanyang University. He also holds a certificate in investment asset management.

Managing Director 

Bongjoon Chang

Bongjoon Chang joined IPM in 2022. He is based in Seoul, Korea.
Bongjoon is considered one of Korea's top professionals in alternative investments, capital markets, project finance, and M&A, with his primary sector focus on power, energy, and infrastructure. With 20 years of experience, he has led the local market in outbound investments, advising and arranging for the financing of conventional and renewable energy and environmental plants. Bongjoon specializes in both outbound and inbound infrastructure investments, including the development and financing of power plants. Prior to joining IPM, Bongjoon, as the director at Samchully Asset Management, managed Samchully Renewable Fund-2 (Australia solar PV) and advised the Vietnam Solar PV and Fuel Cell, LNG combined heat and power plant projects. He also worked as an IPP(Independent Power Provider) Player at Taekwang Power, where he raised the development capital from the global financial market for Southeast Asia projects in Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia. He also worked as an investment banker at KDB Daewoo, Miraeasset securities for over ten years, developing his specialties in power, energy, and infrastructure sectors and financial institutions.  Bongjoon holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Korea University.

Managing Director 

Eunsung Seo

Eunsung has over sixteen years of experience working in the automotive and shipping industries and managing alternative investments.  Prior to joining IPM Asset Management, Eunsung was the Head of Business Planning at SK Rent-a-Car. His responsibilities included business strategy, managing corporate finance and budgeting, M&A, global licensing, and investor relations. Eunsung managed the company's IPO in KOSPI and developed new business models, including car-sharing, a used car distribution platform, auto-auction, auto-camping, and bike leasing. He also led the company's overseas expansion by setting up subsidiary companies in the US, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan and negotiated global licensing deals with Avis Budget Group, ORIX Corporation, and Enterprise Holdings.
Holdings. Eunsung previously worked as the head of Ship Finance at HI Investment & Securities. He established and managed equity, mezzanine, and sub-loan funds with an aggregate value of US$673m for container and bulk ships. Eunsung also helped manage a US$500m International Logistics Infrastructure Fund and a US$55m Ship Financing Fund as an assistant asset manager at KB Asset Management. Eunsung holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from SungKyunKwan University in Seoul and is a Certified Investment Manager in Korea.

Director 

Kyousoo Kim

Kyousoo Kim is an infrastructure investment specialist with more than 15 years of experience in infrastructure and alternative investments and real estate advisory. Before joining IPM AMC based in Seoul, Korea, he worked as a principal of Samchully Asset Management. Prior to Samchully, he worked for Korea Southern Power (KOSPO) where he managed and arranged for financing of infrastructure projects in Jordan, Chile, and of domestic projects. Prior to KOSPO, he worked for CB Richard Ellis where he developed and managed real estate projects including property sales. He received his MBA from KAIST and his B.S in Mechanical and Electronic engineering from KAIST.

Compliance Officer/Risk Officer 

Jinyoung Kim

Jinyoung has over 17 years of experience in investment operations and fund accounting. Jinyoung is currently in charge of compliance and internal control at IPM. Before joining IPM, Jinyoung worked at United Partners Asset Management and Trinity Asset Management as a head of the Fund accounting team. Jinyoung was responsible for daily fund accounting, projects related to various products, and supporting compliance issues.
Jinyoung managed fund maintenance and related issues such as launching new funds, structure change, and termination at Franklin Templeton Investment and Truston Asset Management. In addition, Jinyoung led the project related to fund issues or compliance issues, verified NAV with various transactions in funds, and handled reports to regulators.
Jinyoung holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from SungKyunKwan University.
